Under the project "Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service", as a measure aimed at the development of a positive psychosocial climate within the probation service, Prof. Dr. Zoran Komar delivered a lecture on "Stress, trauma and suicidality as risk factors in the treatment of probationers" in the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration on 10 February 2023. The lecture, held in hybrid form, was attended by a large number of officers from all probation offices and the Central Office within the Ministry's Probation Sector, and the lecture covered the topics of psychosocial hazards at work, burnout at work, traumatic experiences of probationers, post-traumatic stress disorder, risks of suicidal behaviour by offenders and human resources management in the probation system.
