Improving treatment activities for offenders on probation

Under the project “Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service”, financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, a two-day professional event was organized on the topic of improving treatment activities for offenders on probation. 

The event was held on 14 and 15 November 2022 and was attended by 16 officers of the Probation Sector.

The expected output of this activity is the development of a manual that would assist probation officers in conducting treatment interventions in different areas of life of offenders on probation. During the two-day event, the participants defined the content i.e. treatment areas that will be addressed in the manual, the formats of meetings with offenders and work methodology. They agreed on the schedule of forthcoming activities and defined the roles, tasks and deadlines related to the preparation of the professional manual.
