Online training “General and special treatment programmes for offenders in the prison system”

Within the framework of the project „Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service“, co-funded under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, and as a response to the interest expressed by probation officers, on 31 May 2021, a training on the “General and special  treatment programs for offenders in the prison system” was held. Ms. Josipa Maras Babić and Ms. Andrijana Frljak from the Central Office for the Prison System introduced probation officers to the general and special programmes in which offenders are included while serving a prison sentence.

This training was realized within the project activity "Cooperation of the prison system and probation", the main objective of which is to strengthen cooperation between prison and probation systems.

The training was organized for a small number of participants in the premises of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration, in compliance with the recommended epidemiological measures, while most participants participated in the training online. 

In total, 43 employees from the majority of probation offices and the Central Office for Probation completed the training.
