On 30 April 2023, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Kingdom of Norway in Croatia, Ms Latif Homma and Acting Director General for Prison System and Probation Zvonimir Penić opened the newly renovated Probation Office in Rijeka.
The renovation worth 42,671.18 EUR was financed under the project “Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service”, co-financed under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. The renovation included the replacement of interior and exterior carpentry, replacement of floors and installation of new laminate flooring, repair of electrical installations and heating systems, and painting works, thus ensuring quality working condititions for the officers of the Rijeka Probation Office. Ms Homma and Mr Penić put up the signboard of the NFM project.
