Final project conference
The final conference with the presentation of the results of the project entitled "Strengthening human rights and public safety by improving the capacities of the probation service", funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, was held at Hotel International in Zagreb on 5 March 2024.
Opening speeches were given by Zvonimir Penić, Acting Director General for the Prison System and Probation, Helge Klouman Marstrander, Deputy Head of Mission at Royal Norwegian Embassy in Zagreb, and Iva Novak, representative of the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds.
Kim Ekhaugen, Director of International Cooperation from the Norwegian Correctional Service, gave a presentation on the cooperation between the Norwegian and Croatian probation services.
Members of the Project Team presented the project results, which were accepted with great approval by many guests and associates of the probation service, and representatives of other institutions also shared their impressions of participating in project activities during a panel discussion.
The final conference was concluded with the hope of all participants that both probation services would continue their cooperation within the framework of the new financial perspective of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
