Directorate for the Development of Government Information Infrastructure and Electronic Services

Responsibilities:

• developing, managing and improving state administration ICT systems, information security and data protection; 
• planning, developing and supporting the management of the Shared Services Centre; 
• managing the government information infrastructure network; 
• technical and technological upgrading of networks; 
• establishing and improving interoperability of information systems, data exchange and data sharing, ensuring efficient use of data; 
• identifying relevant data sources, establishing data collection processes and ensuring data quality; 
• continuous monitoring of the cybersecurity of the government information infrastructure under the responsibility of the Ministry; 
• analysing risks and vulnerabilities, ensuring regulatory compliance, incident response, cooperation with other authorities and raising cybersecurity awareness; 
• proactive strengthening of the resilience of the government information infrastructure under the responsibility of the Ministry; 
• participation in the development and implementation of cybersecurity of government information infrastructure; 
• participation in defining national standards and technology for the security of government information infrastructure; 
• development, management and maintenance of electronic services in the e-Citizens system and the components of government information infrastructure system comprising e-Citizens; 
• coordination of joint (horizontal) projects to balance the development of electronic public sector services and their provision to users; 
• management of the e-Citizens system; 
• coordination of the development of electronic services and their integration into the government information infrastructure; 
• development, establishment and improvement of common digital services as core building components for authorities and institutions to use when developing electronic services for users, as well as for the development of common horizontal solutions needed for the work of public administration; 
• tasks related to the digitalisation of justice (together with judicial authorities and correctional facilities) and public administration; 
• preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, development and coordination of programmes and projects financed by the European Union
• participation in the drafting of strategic planning documents from the scope of the Ministry
