What should I do if the suspect/defendant violates the precautionary/protective measures imposed?
Precautionary/protective measures against the perpetrator of a criminal offence / misdemeanor may be imposed by a court, and in the case of a misdemeanor, precautionary measures may also be imposed by the police. They are carried out by the police, who, based on a threat assessment, in cooperation with the victim, adopt a plan for the implementation of the measure.
If the offender violates the measure imposed, you should immediately inform the police. The police are obliged to protect you immediately by urgently finding the offender, establishing the circumstances of the violation and immediately informing the court, which then takes a decision on how to sanction the offender. The court may order custody, pre-trial detention or impose a fine on the offender.
