Training on building a therapeutic alliance with convicts using VR

As part of the Erasmus+ project “Virtual reality in the context of treatment skills”, a training on the topic of building a therapeutic alliance with convicts was held in Bucharest, Romania, from 8 May to 12 May 2023.

The training was attended by 10 officers of the Croatian probation service and 10 Romanian officers from the prison and probation system. A special software and digital tools were developed to include VR in the training and make it more realistic, thus contributing to the quality of training. 

In addition to training, the partnership project between Croatia and Romania enabled officers to exchange experiences and examples of good practice, improved their knowledge and skills related to work with convicts and introduced the mobility dimension into the work of probation officers.
