First of three planned workshops for harmonising the use of Prison and Probation Information System (PPIS) under an ESF project
Under the project "Improving the quality of the judiciary by strengthening the capacities of prison and probation system and victim and witness support system", co-financed under the European Social Fund (ESF), the first of three planned workshops for harmonising the use the Prison and Probation Information System (PPIS) was delivered at the Training Centre on 5 April 2022.
The training was organised as a result of the previous project activity - a job and business process analysis conducted in four penal institutions and a developed proposal for improvements, and is part of the project activity of implementing a pilot project in four penal institutions during 6 months, in which time various activities are undertaken to improve business processes in the penal institutions, in accordance with the estimated needs.
The workshops are intended for officers of the criminal treatment departments of penal institutions, i.e. officers performing tasks relating to the register and correctional treatment of prisoners, in order to facilitate and balance the daily entry of data in the PPIS and the use of the entered data. The training is also intended for several officers from the security department, who will enter data from the scope of correctional treatment into the PPIS during the pilot project implementation period.
The first workshop was attended by 12 officers from the penitentiaries in Lepoglava and Požega and prisons in Zadar and Zagreb, and the same number of officers will participate in the next two workshops, to be held on 26 April and 10 May 2022.
