Requests for the return of mistaken payment or overpayment of court fees, fines and costs of proceedings should be submitted to the court or judicial authority to whose account (as a beneficiary of the Budget) the funds have been transferred, with the following information/enclosures:
- a payment slip or a receipt from the bank or the Financial Agency, with a visible model and credit reference number of the transaction concerned;
- IBAN of the submitter of the request for the return of funds;
- personal ID number (OIB) of the submitter.
A court or other judicial authority will issue a response about the justification of the request and deliver it, along with the necessary documentation, to the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation for the purpose of issuing a decision on the return of funds.
