Training for officers on the use of VR headset in offender treatment

On 5 and 6 November 2025, two training sessions for officers on the use of the VR headset in offender treatment were held at the Zagreb II Probation Office. 

The training was attended by probation officers, prison treatment officers and the Central Probation Office. 

The training consisted of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part included a presentation of the project, of virtual reality, its possibilities and limitations in rehabilitation work, a presentation of problem-solving skills and a proposal for the implementation of VR as a short treatment intervention in the field of problem-solving that integrates classical rehabilitation work with digital tools. 
The practical part included training on the use of VR equipment, presentation of VR scenarios in a group environment, and participants with practiced the use of VR and movement through VR scenarios with the trainers’ support.
