On 10 March 2026, an evaluation meeting was held in which participants of the job shadowing activity in the Czech Republic discussed key topics related to work organisation and development of professional competencies

The importance of programme centres combining the work of probation officers and providers of rehabilitation programmes was highlighted. Such a model enables better coordination of work, more efficient implementation of a programme and better support to probationers.

Participants also discussed different models of work organisation, highlighting that probation experts in different countries shared similar challenges and everyday tasks.

The exchange of experience with colleagues from the Czech Republic proved to be extremely valuable. It was pointed out that cooperation was especially facilitated due to the similarity of language and professional context, which further contributed to the quality of communication and mutual understanding.

The Czech partners expressed great satisfaction with the exchange, stressing that the activities benefited not only the participants in the exchange, but also the host institutions. This further strengthened international cooperation, the exchange of good practices and the development of both probation systems.

It was concluded that such meetings represented an important contribution to the professional development of officers as well as to the further improvement of the probation services.
