Project objectives
The main objective of the project is to structure and upgrade the IT system for free legal aid, in order to improve its interoperability and develop new functionalities, as well as to introduce a comprehensive e-Free Legal Aid service for citizens and free legal aid providers. The project will establish a comprehensive e-service (e-FLA, Croatian: e-BPP), which will enable the electronic submission of applications, submission of documentation, automatic exchange of data and more efficient communication between all stakeholders: citizens, counties, lawyers, associations and legal clinics.
Who is the project intended for?
The target group of the project are citizens who are eligible for free legal aid, in particular people from disadvantaged backgrounds and socially vulnerable groups, as well as providers of free legal aid (authorised associations, legal clinics, lawyers) and bodies governed by public law involved in the implementation of procedures for granting and supervising the use of legal aid. Digitalisation of the process will allow significant administrative and time relief for all target groups, while increasing transparency and legal certainty.
