C2.5 R1-I5 Implementation of energy efficiency measures to renovate obsolete facilities of judicial authorities
Beneficiary: Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation
The purpose of the investment was to modernise and increase the efficiency of the work of judicial authorities and correctional facilities in Croatia by implementing energy efficiency measures, which will contribute to the green transition.
A total of 20 buildings of the judicial system underwent energy renovation.
The renovation was focused on modernising the appearance of buildings and improving working conditions in them. Priority was given to judicial authorities located in economically less developed parts of Croatia.
The investment covered, on average, at least medium renovation depth as defined in Commission Recommendation (EU) 2019/786 on building renovation, to achieve at least 30 % primary energy savings or, on average, at least 30 % reduction in direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions compared to pre-renovation levels.
When comparing energy savings after renovation measured by specific annual primary energy demand (kWh/(m2a)), annual primary energy (kWh/a) and specific annual carbon dioxide emissions (kg/(m2a)), the total average of energy savings combining these indicators for all renovated buildings is more than 60%.
Value of investment: ∼EUR 13.43 m
Completion of the measure: July 2024
