The second Info Day on the IPCEI AI initiative was organised by the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds and the Croatian Employers’ Association, this time in the form of a national matchmaking exercise with the aim of connecting companies and exchanging project ideas.

The participation of a representative of the Slovenian Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport added value to the event, providing useful guidance from its national IPCEI project preparation process, as Slovenia is also part of the IPCEI AI consortium.

The Info Day, held on 11 December 2025, brought together representatives of domestic technology and industry companies interested in participating in the IPCEI AI project, which is aimed at developing the next generation AI ecosystem.

During matchmaking, eight companies presented their innovative project ideas, providing participants with an insight into a wide range of possible solutions and an open space for networking and finding potential partners in different thematic areas of the IPCEI AI value chain.

During the presentations, the organisers placed focus on the key criteria of the IPCEI initiative, in particular the need for project ideas to clearly demonstrate innovation beyond the state-of-the-art and contribute to the development of technologies and solutions with high European added value.

Participants had the opportunity to discuss the possibilities of cooperation, identify complementary expertise and explore ways to create synergies with the aim of strengthening Croatia's contribution to the European AI ecosystem. In doing so, the second Info Day provided an important contribution to the preparation of quality project proposals ahead of the opening of the national Public Call for Expression of Interest for inclusion on the list of potential IPCEIs in the field of AI, which is expected to be announced by the end of the year.
