Representatives of the Prison and Probation Directorate at CEP Workshop on Working with Communities and Awareness Raising in Probation and Yellow Ribbon Run in Prague

The two-day workshop was organised by the Confederation of European Probation (CEP) on 10-11 May 2024. 

The Workshop on Working with Communities and Awareness Raising in Probation was attended by more than 45 participants from 16 European countries, including representatives of the ministries of justice, probation officers, representatives of NGOs and PR and communication departments. Different perspectives of probation services in Europe were presented, and the Croatian probation service also presented its experience of achieving recognition and promoting the service. The workshop provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and obtain new insights for further progress in the visibility of probation.

In the framework of the project "Strengthening the capacity and visibility of the prison and probation systems", financed under the Bilateral Fund of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, representatives of the prison system and probation service also participated in the 9th Yellow Ribbon Run event in Prague on 11 May 2024. The aim of the event is to support people with a criminal past and provide them with the opportunity to reintegrate into society, to raise awareness of the importance of the fight against prejudice, as well as the importance of rehabilitation of prisoners and convicts at all levels of society.
