Webinar on judicial evaluation

The international webinar Towards Ideal Court President Profile took place on 10 June 2021, with the aim of exchanging experiences in performance management and evaluation tools for judges and court presidents.

The Webinar was organised by the Norwegian Courts Administration, Donor Programme Partner of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration in the implementation of Justice and Home Affairs Programme under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.

Participants from Norway, Lithuania and Croatia included judges, court presidents and representatives of national judicial authorities.

Apart from group and plenary discussions, a further valuable contribution to the exchange of experiences and good practices of judicial evaluation was provided in the form of presentations by experts: Prof. dr. Philip Langbroek from Utrecht University’s Montaigne Centre for Rule of Law and Administration of Justice, Mr. Arnfinn Agnalt, Head of the Norwegian Judicial Appointments Board, Mr. Marius Bartninkas, Chairman of the Civil Cases Division of Kaunas Regional Court, and Ms. Martina Vrdoljak, Advisor to the Minister of Justice and Public Administration of the Republic of Croatia.
