Choice of surname

When registering a life partnership, persons who intend to register a life partnership may agree that: 

• each will retain their own surname,
• they will take one of their surnames as their common surname,
• they will take both surnames as their common surname, and decide which comes first and which second,
• each of them will take the surname of their life partner alongside their own, and decide which comes first and which second.
