On Monday 24 April, Minister of Justice and Public Administration Ivan Malenica met with Montenegrin Minister of Public Administration Marash Dukaj.
The ministers discussed reform processes in public administration, quality management in public administration, wage reform, digitalisation of public administration and improvement of the local and regional self-government system.
Minister Malenica highlighted Croatia’s support for Montenegro’s EU path and welcomed the activities to improve public administration, especially with regard to the security of the IT systems of state authorities.
Current activities of the MoJPA were presented to the Montenegrin delegation relating to quality management in public administration and the adoption of the Act on Salaries in Civil Service and Public Services, which is a crucial public administration reform.
In addition, the project “Optimisation of the local and regional self-government system” was presented, in which Croatia analysed over 200 data sets on local self-government and produced 90 indicators.
