State Secretary Ivan Crnčec participates in OECD Global Roundtable on Equal Access to Justice
Co-organised by the OECD and the Spanish Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with Parliament, the 10th OECD Global Roundtable on Equal Access to Justice is being held from 12 to 14 November 2025 in Madrid
Participants in this high-level event exchanged views and experiences with a view to defining priorities and strengthening justice systems to ensure equal access to justice and public trust.State Secretary Ivan Crnčec gave a presentation on the role and importance of the judiciary as a public service, with a special emphasis on accessibility and building and preserving citizens' trust in the functioning of the judicial system. In his presentation, the State Secretary highlighted the many activities of the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation in the area of digitalisation of the justice system, as well as recent legislative amendments aimed at speeding up court proceedings and increasing efficiency.
In the margins of the roundtable, the ministerial delegation held a bilateral meeting with Deputy Secretary-General of the OECD Mary Beth Goodman concerning the process of Croatia’s accession to the OECD. A bilateral meeting was also held with the delegation of Thailand led by the Deputy Prime Minister, where the experiences of the OECD accession process were exchanged.
