Serbian delegation on study visit to Croatia: Focus on cohesion policy and RRP
The aim of the visit is to exchange experiences on the implementation of cohesion policy and National Recovery and Resilience Plan
Representatives of the Republic of Serbia from the Ministry of European Integration, the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Mining and Energy are on a study visit to Croatia from 9 to 12 December 2024.The visit is realized under the project "Development of Cohesion Policy Management System", financed by the EU through IPA III component, while the main beneficiary of the project is the Serbian Ministry of European Integration.
The project supports Serbia in preparing for an effective implementation of EU cohesion policy, with the advisory services of the German consulting company GIZ in cooperation with partners.
Today, the delegation participated in a working meeting at the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation.
During the meeting, the strategic approach to the planning and implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, structural funds and other projects financed by the European Union was presented, and the presentation was given by Ivan Lakoš, Director-General for Digital Society and Strategic Planning.
Dr. Sc. Ivana Nagy, NRRP Coordinator at the Ministry, spoke about Croatia's priorities and results within the NRRP in the areas of judiciary, fight against corruption, public administration and digitalisation.
Furthermore, examples of key projects in the field of digitalisation were presented, including the ‘eSpis’ (eFile) project, which was presented by Renata Diankov, Head of IT Solutions Development Sector, the ‘Digital Transformation in Croatia’ project, presented by Igor Ljubi, Head of Electronic Services Development Sector, and the project on Smart Working, a hybrid work model in the state administration, presented by Ivana Nagy.
During the three-day stay, the delegation will visit several more Croatian ministries to study in more detail our best experiences in the implementation of EU programmes, with a special focus on challenges and solutions within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
This visit represents an important step in strengthening the EU funds management capacity of the public administration of Serbia and in deepening cooperation between the two countries in the process of European integration.
