Official visit of Latvian delegation to Ministry of Justice and Public Administration

The event formally introducing the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms 2014-2021 in Croatia took place in Split on 20 September 2021, and Minister of Justice and Public Administration Ivan Malenica presented projects in the field of justice

The aim of the official visit was to exchange experiences, intensify and deepen mutual cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia, concluded in 2018. The topics discussed during the visit included the experiences and practices in the use of modern technologies, implementation of a comprehensive system of e-communication in the judiciary and public administration, access to the services of the justice system and possible future cooperation in international projects in the area of justice.

During its two-day visit, the Latvian delegation visited the Valtura Penitentiary to learn about the organisation and functioning of the Croatian prison system.
