EU nationals – Voting in upcoming local elections
Nationals of other EU Member States who wish to vote in the upcoming municipal elections should apply for entry in the Electoral Register by 17 April 2025 at the latest
Nationals of other Member States of the European Union with domicile or temporary residence in a local and regional self-government unit in the Republic of Croatia have the right to elect members of the representative body of that local and regional self-government unit in the upcoming local elections.In order to exercise their right to vote, they are required to submit an application for entry in the Electoral Register, in the section for nationals of EU Member entitled to vote in the Republic of Croatia in elections for the representative bodies of local and regional self-government units.
The application for entry in the Electoral Register is to be submitted to the competent administrative authority of the county or the City of Zagreb according to the voter's residential address in Croatia no later than 30 days before election day, i.e. by 17 April 2025.
The application form must be accompanied by:
- a notarised statement indicating the voter’s nationality, address of domicile or residence in the territory of the electoral unit, and
- a statement that the voter has not been deprived of the right to vote in the Member State of the European Union of which he or she is a national.
