Director General Tafra at Public Administration Global Forum in Washington

Director General for the Civil Service System Višnja Tafra participated in the Public Administration Global Forum: Transforming Governments for a Livable Planet, held in Washington on 28 and 29 May.

Director General Tafra presented the reform of the public sector wage system in Croatia, implemented in cooperation with World Bank experts.

The reform resulted in a uniform Act on Salaries in the Civil Service and Public Services, as well as new decrees on job complexity coefficients for the civil service and public services.

A uniform pay scale was introduced, comprising 16 pay grades and coefficients ranging from 1.00 to 8.00.

In addition, a new performance-based employee appraisal system was introduced.
