Armenian delegation on a visit to the Ministry

A delegation of the Republic of Armenia led by Deputy Minister of Justice Gevorg Kocharyan is on a weekly study visit to the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation

The delegation was welcomed by Director General for Prison System and Probation Zvonimir Penić and officials of the Prison System and Probation Directorate.

During the study visit, the delegation was familiarised with the structure and operation of the prison system and probation service, and the visit will include visits to the Rijeka Probation Office, the Rijeka Prison, the Training Centre, the Zagreb II Probation Office and the Lepoglava Penitentiary.

The Armenian delegation will have the opportunity to learn about the examples of good practice, challenges and achievements of the Republic of Croatia in the prison and probation area.

Special emphasis is placed on the exchange of experiences in the field of resocialisation of criminals, the use of alternative sanctions, security, the offender assessment system, rehabilitation programmes and administration.
