Probation officers who participated in job shadowing in France on the topic of Care for perpetrators of sexual offences presented their experience of job shadowing to colleagues from the Central Office for Probation and probation offices at the premises of the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation on 17 February 2025.
Through participation in everyday tasks and work processes, they had the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain valuable insights. In their presentations, the colleagues pointed out different areas in which they improved their knowledge, skills and competences related to work organisation, risk assessment methods and processes in relation to perpetrators of sexual offences and the rehabilitation content and methods. After the presentation, there was a very active discussion on plans for integrating the experiences into everyday probation practice or improving it.
