7th International Research Days in the Penitentiary Environment: Dealing with Intimate Partner Violence

The French Ministry of Justice, i.e. their National School of Prison Administration in Agen organised the 7th international symposium on 9 and 10 October 2024

Civil servants Ivana Dragoslavić and Ljiljana Antolović participated in the symposium and presented the Croatian probation service with a presentation entitled ‘Lessons (to be) learned - psychosocial treatment in the Croatian probation service for perpetrators of domestic violence’ and a treatment programme for perpetrators of domestic violence and gender-based violence ‘You can be different’.

Practitioners as well as members of the academic community participated in the symposium, both in person and online.

During the symposium, experiences and practices in the work of probation services were exchanged with other NFM beneficiaries who participated in the conference, in the formal and informal part, especially in the field of treatment of perpetrators of gender-based violence.

This was an opportunity for the presentation of the Croatian probation service and its better visibility on the European and world probation scene.

The participation of Croatian representatives was realised under the project "Strengthening the capacity and visibility of the prison and probation system", funded under the Bilateral Fund of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
