Directorate for Digital Economy

Responsibilities:

introduction and application of digital technologies in the economy;
identification of trends, preparation of foundations for the adoption of quality measures and activities for digital economy development;
analysis of strategic documents and preparation of positions and background information for national and European authorities;
cooperation with competent authorities for the digital economy and with other state and state administration bodies as well as other economic operators and institutions;
contribution to the development of portals for the digital economy;
coordinating and prioritising the development and improvement of information systems to support digital transformation of the economy;
drafting of the development plan and objectives;
coordination of different stakeholders in the development of IT systems in the field of labour;
preparation of strategic documents in the field of innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence and other disruptive technologies;
analysis of EU legislation and identification of areas in which it is necessary to harmonise national regulations in the field of labour;
preparing draft proposals of primary and secondary legislation related to innovative technologies;
fostering digital transformation of the economy by supporting European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) and other digital innovation hubs and accelerators, including the improvement of innovation infrastructure and the network of institutions supporting innovation, technology transfer and digital innovation in entrepreneurship;
cooperation with the public and private sectors active in the field of standardisation of the digital society and digital transformation in the field of labour;
preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, development and coordination of programmes and projects financed by the European Union;
participation in the drafting of strategic planning documents from the scope of the Ministry
