Inmates can be visited by family members twice a month and on holidays.
Persons considered family members include: spouse or common law partner, formal or informal civil partner, relatives in direct line (children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents...), relative in collateral line up to the third degree (brother, sister, uncle, aunt, nephews and nieces, cousins), relatives by marriage up to the second degree (partner’s parents, spouses of siblings), guardian, subject to proof of kinship.
An child under the age of 18 can visit their parent once a week and on holidays. A child under the age of 16 can visit their parent accompanied by an adult family member or other adult authorised to take care of the child.
Permits for visits to prisoners are issued at the premises of the Zagreb Prison/Diagnostics Centre prior to the visit.
Visitors must present an identity document for entry to the Centre.

Inmates may receive money from family members and third persons (or send it to them) through the Centre by postal and bank payments. Inmates cannot receive money directly from visitors or in letters, but can receive and send money through the Prison;
