Under the project “Digital by default: Optimisation of the efficiency and quality of judicial services and transparency of judicial decisions”, the Croatian delegation took a study trip to Paris from 7 to 9 March.
The delegation composed of judges of the Supreme Court, Municipal Civil Court in Zagreb and Municipal Labour Court in Zagreb and officials of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration visited the Court of Cassation (Cour de Cassation), the Council of State (Conseil d 'Etat), the Ministry of Justice and the Interministerial Digital Directorate (DINUM), with the aim of exchanging experience in the application of digital solutions in the judiciary.
French experts presented the digital solutions in their judicial system and shared their experience in creating secure information systems in the judiciary, which, in addition to the personal data security, guarantee respect for human rights and the right of access to court.
The visit was organised as part of the TSI project entitled "Digital by default: Optimisation of the efficiency and quality of judicial services and transparency of judicial decisions”, implemented by the Council of Europe and funded by DG Reform of the European Commission with the aim to improve knowledge and expertise for a successful implementation of IT tools in the Croatian justice system. The project also contributes directly to the fulfilment of the objectives set out in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan as well as to the implementation of reforms aimed at strengthening the rule of law through transparent, efficient and faster judicial processes.
