On Friday 28 October, Minister of Justice and Public Administration Ivan Malenica received an inaugural visit of the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Gary Koren.
The officials reaffirmed very good and friendly bilateral relations between the two countries as a whole and exchanged views on some current topics – from parliamentary elections to be held in Israel in early November this year to the issue of restitution of property confiscated during Yugoslav communist rule.
Both sides expressed interest in the possibility of future joint cooperation, especially in the field of digitalisation, cybercrime, combating hate crime and the use of artificial intelligence in judicial systems.
In conclusion, they confirmed the openness of the two countries to further strengthening their bilateral relations by continuing the dialogue on the resolution of the issue of property restitution and by exchanging expert knowledge and experience in the mentioned topics of interest.
