On 8 June 2022, a working meeting was held at the premises of the Međimurje Police Directorate to analyse the work done so far by Roma mentors under a pilot project which forms an integral part of the project "Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service", co-financed under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
In addition to the Roma mentors, the meeting was attended by Ms Homma Latif, representative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway, Mr Vladimir Faber, Adviser to the Minister of the Interior, Mr Goran Brkić, Head of Probation Sector, and representatives of collaborative institutions (Međimurje Police Department, police stations Čakovec, Mursko Središće and Prelog, Administrative Department for Civil Society, Human Rights and Sports of Međimurje County, Lepoglava Penitentiary, Public Health Institute of Međimurje County, Croatian Employment Service - Čakovec Branch, State Inspectorate in Čakovec and Victim and Witness Support Service Croatia).
All the representatives of the above institutions gave a positive assessment of the work of Roma mentors so far and expressed interest in further cooperation with a view to continuing the integration of members of the Roma national minority.
