A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration of Croatia and the Ministry of Justice of Albania was signed in Tirana on Tuesday 22 February.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding will intensify the cooperation between the two ministries and determine the framework and manner of judicial cooperation, primarily in the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of justice.
"The signing of the Memorandum reflects good and friendly relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Albania. Croatia strongly supports the EU enlargement and welcomes Albania's efforts on the European path. We believe that our experience and knowledge can help Albania to make progress in Chapter 23 and Chapter 24 in the EU accession negotiations process", said Minister Malenica.
During his official visit, Minister Malenica met with European Union Ambassador to Albania Luigi Sorec, Speaker of the Parliament of Albania Lindita Nikolla, Head of Special Prosecutors Office Against Corruption and Organised Crime Arben Kraja, and Albania's Chief Negotiator with the EU Zef Mazi.
This visit was a continuation of good bilateral cooperation in the field of justice, which was now given a formal framework for cooperation between the two ministries to further strengthen and deepen the relations between the two countries.
