Foreign citizens can marry in the Republic of Croatia under the same conditions as Croatian citizens.
In order to marry, foreign citizens must submit the following documents:
- copy of the birth record issued in the country of birth in accordance with international agreements and conventions, along with a translation into the Croatian language,
- single status certificate issued pursuant to international agreements and conventions, along with a translation into the Croatian language,
- confirmation that there are no obstacles to the conclusion of marriage of the foreign citizen in the Republic of Croatia, and that the marriage will be recognized in the state of their citizenship, along with a translation into the Croatian language (this confirmation can form an integral part of the single status certificate),
- (photo) ID, and
- proof of citizenship (passport).
