State Secretary Crnčec participated in the Attorneys General and Ministers of Justice Roundtable: Regulatory Reform for Development on 5 November 2025

In his presentation, the State Secretary presented Croatia's experiences in implementing regulatory reforms and digital transformation of the justice system, emphasizing the importance of an efficient and transparent justice system as a basis for economic growth, investment and public trust.

The Law, Justice and Development Week is one of the World Bank Group's most important annual events, bringing together justice ministers, chief prosecutors, international organisations and academia to exchange experiences and good practices in the areas of justice, the rule of law and sustainable development. This year's edition of the conference focuses on reform approaches linking more efficient justice and economic development, with a focus on the digital transition and institutional resilience.

During their stay in Washington, State Secretary Crnčec and Chief Adviser in the Cabinet of the Minister Ivana Šuman met with World Bank Group Executive Director Eugene Rhuggenaath, who is in charge of a constituency including Croatia. They discussed existing and future projects and the deepening of cooperation within the new Croatia Country Partnership Framework for 2025-2030.

The results of the Justice for Business Project "Effective Justice for a Better Business Environment" and the Integrated Land Administration and Justice Services Project, implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with the World Bank, were particularly highlighted on this occasion. These projects contribute to the modernisation of judicial infrastructure, the digitalisation of judicial processes and a better integration of land administration through further interconnection of land registers and cadastres, both digitally and infrastructurally, through the construction of new buildings for the accommodation of courts, land registry departments and cadastral offices.
