Minister Habijan: Vedran Pavlek arrested, procedure for extradition to Croatia initiated

Minister of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation Damir Habijan has confirmed that Vedran Pavlek was arrested in Kazakhstan

The arrest was carried out at the request of USKOK and in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior, after which the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation immediately sent to the Kazakh authorities all the necessary documentation for his extradition to the Republic of Croatia.

The Government of the Republic of Croatia expects Mr Pavlek to be extradited promptly, following the implementation of the legally envisaged procedure by the competent authorities of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry emphasizes that all competent authorities continue to cooperate in a coordinated manner with the Kazakh authorities in accordance with the usual international procedures in such cases.
