At the session chaired by Minister Habijan, the NCC’s 2024 annual work report was accepted and the 2025 annual work plan adopted.

One of the key results NCC’s work in 2024 was the decision of the European Commission to grant Cascade Funding in the field of cybersecurity i.e. Financial Support for Third Parties (companies, research organisations and start-ups) to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced security solutions.
With this step, Croatia has additionally positioned itself as a leader in strengthening Europe's cybersecurity ecosystem.

The European Commission had previously approved and accepted the NCC’s project "Deployment of NCC-HR", with a total value of EUR 7.87m, half of which is funded by the Digital Europe Programme (DEP). The project will last until 2028, and its main objectives are related to increasing cyber resilience and improving security capacities in Croatia, development of professional education and stakeholder networking via a new Cybersecurity Competence Community, and financial support to companies for innovation projects under Cascade Funding.

In order to raise the level of cybersecurity, the NCC will carry out a number of activities, including the establishment of a Cybersecurity Competence Community, trainings to strengthen capacity and competences, and the provision of funding and support in the preparation of project applications.

Legal entities may get involved in the activities of the Cybersecurity Competence Community by filling in the application form at https://nks.hr/

In an effort to make cybersecurity accessible to a wider community, the NCC will organize Cyber Meetups across Croatia in cooperation with counties, regional and local authorities and associations in order to provide information to small and medium-sized enterprises, institutions and the academic community about the importance of cybersecurity.

By a Decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Academic and Research Network (CARNET) has been designated the National Coordination Centre for Industry, Technology and Research in the field of Cyber Security (NCC-HR).

The NCC continues its work on strengthening cybersecurity in Croatia, encouraging cooperation, education and innovation to ensure a secure digital future for all.
